About

Allyson Lotz has been singing and arranging a cappella music recreationally for over a decade with a career-long specialization in 4-part vocal harmony. They’re passionate about creating arrangements that tell a story through the notes on the page, giving performers a launchpad for inspiration to share their version of the story with their audience.

Allyson also believes in the importance of arranging modern music to keep a cappella singing accessible to young singers. They performed their arrangement “Happier Than Ever,” originally by Billie Eilish, at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 2023 Quartet and Chorus Festival with their quartet, The Knee’s Bees (3am edition). Allyson also performs their arrangements in the quartet Away From Keyboard, including “Bored,” originally by Laufey.

Allyson is originally from Wildwood, Missouri, and currently lives in Aurora, Colorado. They are an in-house arranger and performance coach for Prism Barbershop Chorus, and they sing barbershop tenor with their two quartets and Prism. They daylight as a product manager.
